Kairuki Hospital (KH), formerly known as Mission Mikocheni Hospital, is one of the leading private hospitals in Tanzania. KH is owned by Kairuki Health and Education Network (KHEN), a Tanzanian Non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a social agenda. The hospital opened its doors to the public in March 1987when it began offering a variety of health services.
KH has 200 professional and 150 general staff who work in the hospital on a daily basis. KH also serves as a teaching hospital for Kairuki University (KU) and Kairuki School of Nursing (KSN). Specialists at KU also participate in attending to patients at the hospital.
Kairuki Hospital is incorporated into the Kairuki Health and Education Network, which includes Kairuki University, Kairuki School of Nursing, Kairuki Green IVF, Kairuki Polyclinic, and Kairuki Pharmaceutical Industry Limited. This integration allows us to provide comprehensive healthcare, training, and research opportunities across all our services.
KH attends more than 600 patients a day in three (3) outpatient departments (General Outpatient Department, Specialist Outpatient Department & Surgical/Procedure Outpatient Department) and has a bed capacity of up to 170 beds. It is a multidisciplinary general hospital, with private wards, VIP wards, and general wards to cater to different patient needs and preferences.
Our hospital is located in Regent Estate, Mikocheni area on No. 70 Chwaku Street, about 100 meters from Oil Com Petrol Station on New Bagamoyo Road, about half a kilometer north of the American Embassy.
